Shelter Cove is on California's Lost Coast where the King Range meets the Pacific Ocean. It's one of the greatest fisheries in California and we sometimes refer to it as our Alaska.

After a long day on the water I met Jay at the fish cleaning station. Jay is one of the most accomplished kayak fisherman on the West Coast and I couldn't pass up the opportunity for an interview while he was cleaning the only king salmon landed this weekend as well as a string of rock sole:
